Life Skills encompass a variety of projects, most of
which have their foundations in Home Economics. Members can learn
cooking, sewing, knitting, hobby crafts, leather crafts, woodcrafts and
among others. Members don’t just develop the skills to
participate in these crafts, but they learn about nutrition, how to
choose the proper tools and materials and how to care for the
tools. Final projects can be presented at the Life Skills Expo in
April and/or at the San Mateo County Fair in June.
