The
Java Programming project is a project offered to 4-H members across San
Mateo County, that centers around teaching members to basics of coding
and programming logic. The project makes use of various free services
and programs, such as AppInventor II and Greenfoot, that allow for
members to get immersed in the world of coding without feeling
overwhelmed. The goal of the project is to allow participants to gain a
better understanding of what it is like to write their own programs,
and possibly discover a passion for computer science. Members must be
age 11-18 and must have access to a laptop for use in the project.
