Redwood City Cañada 4-H Club

Projects - Livestock - Dogs

The Dog Project meets once a month (second Sunday of the month) and is splint into two groups--Advanced (3-4 PM) and Beginner (4-5 PM). A dog is not needed to participate in the dog project. We cover all the skills needed to compete at the county fair: obedience, rally, showmanship and tunnel with weaves. We also cover parts of the dog, dog breeds, etc. Our meetings are open to anyone who is a member of San Mateo County or San Francisco County 4-H clubs. Also, all events put on by other clubs for Dog Project are open to all Dog Project members. In January we attend the Golden Gate Kennel Club Show at the Cow Palace. We encourage members to train their dogs at least 5 minutes every day. Our meetings are held indoors at the San Mateo Dog Training Club Hall in San Carlos.
